Pro tip: freeze ahead!
Add all the ingredients to a Ziploc bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight, then dump everything in the crockpot and cook.
You need to defrost first if you're using meat, because frozen meat can't go in the crockpot for food safety purposes.

Hi! I’m wondering if you can tell me what size can of diced pineapple you use? Thanks!
Taylor Stinson says
It’s a 398mL can 🙂

Hi, I am currently making the sweet and sour chicken recipe. The sauce tastes yummy but there doesn’t seem to be much of it. Should have I added the juice of the canned pineapple too? I only added the chunks without juice.
Taylor Stinson says
Yes, you’re supposed to add the entire can in.

I’m reviewing without having tasted the recipes. I made 4 of these (all but the Peanut Stew) for my son to have on hand for a quick, ready when he gets home, meal. He works in this crazy Arizona heat all day and cooking after work isn’t happening.
Thank you for sharing these easy to prep meals that I could make and send with him. It allowed me to send some love home with him in a ziplock bag 🥰
I wished I had prepped my own meals at the same time as they were super simple and quite quick to put together. Next time 🙂

I’m glad they were easy to put together 🙂 Thanks for leaving your review!

Have you tried this recepies on pressure cooker? I will make for freezing for my postpartum, and I think it will be easier to do on pressure than slow cooking!
Taylor Stinson says
Hey Melina – these recipes have been tested with the slow cooker in mind and not tested using the pressure cooker. Some I think might turn out ok like the minestrone and butter chicken but the rest I’m not sure about.

Think you could drop them into an Instant Pot and have the same outcome?
Taylor Stinson says
Unfortunately I haven’t tried them in the Instant Pot :/ However, I could see the minestrone, peanut stew and butter chicken working well. Not as confident about the sweet & sour chicken or the beef broccoli. Let me know if you try them in the Instant Pot!

I was wondering if you could put these in a food saver bag ? If so how ? It looks like some are juicy
Taylor Stinson says
I wish I could help but I have no experience with this. Sorry about that!

If you want to put liquid food in a food saver bag, just freeze first in another container before you seal it in the food saver bag
