Frequently asked questions
Do I need an ice cream maker to make this?
No, you can make it in a food processor or high-powered blender. Blend until smooth, then freeze for a firmer texture if desired.
Why is my frozen yogurt icy instead of creamy?
This can happen if there’s not enough fat or sugar. Using full-fat Greek yogurt and adding a natural sweetener like honey helps create a creamier texture.
Can I use plain yogurt instead of Greek yogurt?
Yes, but the texture will be a bit thinner. Greek yogurt is thicker and results in a creamier consistency.
Can I make it dairy-free?
Yes, use a dairy-free yogurt like coconut or almond-based yogurt and make sure any added ingredients are plant-based.

How to store
Store: Keep in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Press plastic wrap directly against the surface to help prevent ice crystals.

Recipe looks good. I am going to try it. Can you taste the bananas or do they just help thicken the frozen yogurt? I like bananas but sometimes they overpower a recipe.
Love your recipes – have made a few

Thank you so much Mary Lou! I personally found I didn’t taste the bananas, they are more there to add sweetness and thicken the yogurt. I hope you like it if you try it 🙂
