Frequently Asked Questions
This Starbucks passion tea lemonade is completely caffeine-free! If you would like to add caffeine to your drink, try brewing some white or green tea with the passion tea. The overall flavour will change a bit, but it will still be delicious!
The original Starbucks passion tea lemonade contains 33 grams of sugar for a Grande size, which is 4 pumps of their syrup. In comparison, my recipe has just 29 grams of sugar. Keep in mind that for my recipe, you’ll be making your own simple syrup, so the sweetener is natural versus refined.
With its intense and refreshing, slightly sweet, slightly tart flavour, this passion tea lemonade from Starbucks is not your average glass of lemonade! It’s made with chilled passion tea, lemonade and homemade simple syrup.
Passion tea is an infusion of floral, herbal and fruit ingredients, there’s absolutely zero caffeine in this lemonade!
Making a pitcher-full
There are two different ways to make a large batch of this passion tea lemonade Starbucks recipe, depending on how quickly you will drink it.
- Multiply the recipe – this is a great option if you’ll be serving this to guests or for a larger gathering. A standard pitcher holds 8 cups of liquid, so you would multiply the recipe amounts by 4. Adjust as needed based on the size of your pitcher or drink dispenser.
- Mix as you serve – this is exactly how the drink is made when you order it at Starbucks. First, make a large pitcher of just the passion tea and store it in the refrigerator. Then, when you’re ready to make a glass, mix with the lemonade and simple syrup in a glass as directed.
Storing leftover passion tea
A pitcher of chilled passion tea should last in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. However, once you’ve mixed it with the lemonade and simple syrup, it should be consumed within a day for the best results.
