Frequently Asked Questions
Dalgona coffee is a popular whipped coffee drink from South Korea. There are different variations of toppings and flavour combinations, but the basic version is always the same: beat instant coffee, water and sugar together as fast as you can until it’s super fluffy, then serve over milk and ice.
This recipe is just as healthy as regular coffee. As long as you don’t go overboard on the sweetener, it will stay on the relatively healthy side with 193 calories per serving. For an even healthier option, use a dairy-free milk like almond milk and opt for a sweetener like Stevia or honey instead of white sugar.
The name dalgona comes from the drink’s South Korean origins. It’s named after dalgona candy, a honeycomb toffee that has a similar taste and appearance to the whipped drink.
Storing it in the fridge
You can store the leftover dalgona coffee foam in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It may start to separate after a few days, but it will still taste good for up to a week.

So sorry you had trouble Jess! I have heard of it working for some and not others. It may depend on the exact type you used?
