Hi! I’m Taylor, the blogger behind The Girl on Bloor and avid meal prepper.
I love to help other busy people like me eat more wholesome, homemade foods on-the-go, and a large part of that is doing a little meal prep ahead. Believe it or not, I'm not a health or fitness freak, I just believe that a little bit of planning and whole foods go a long way in improving your overall health.
I spent the majority of my university years yo-yo dieting and following fad diets in an attempt to lose the extra freshman 15 I had put on while in school, and then I struggled to consistently feed myself healthy food when I first started working full time. Meal planning and prepping ahead helped me get organized, but I had trouble being consistent because my routine became overwhelming.
By the time I did start to meal prep, I tried to do too much all at once, making four or five recipes in one go on a Sunday and trying to make everything (breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks) completely from scratch. No wonder I was still stressed out!
It wasn't until I learned that I just couldn't do it all, and began to start prepping simpler recipes with a shorter ingredient list, that I saw the error of my ways and my weekly meal planning began to be a lot easier.
