- Adjust sweetness: If your juice is a little tart, add a splash of maple syrup or honey.
- Spice it up: Add more ginger for a bolder, warming kick.
- Try other citrus: Swap in tangerines or limes for a slightly different flavour.
- Serve chilled or on ice: This juice tastes best cold, so keep it in the fridge or pour over ice when serving.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make this juice without a juicer?
Yes! You can blend the ingredients in a blender with water and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
How nutritious is this carrot juice recipe?
It’s super nutritious! Carrots give you beta-carotene and vitamin A, citrus adds vitamin C, and ginger brings antioxidants for a little extra boost.
Is it ok to drink carrot juice daily?
Yes, carrot juice can definitely be a healthy daily drink, just keep it in moderation. It’s healthy but a bit higher in natural sugars since the fibre gets removed. Think of it as a boost alongside a balanced diet, not a replacement for whole fruits and veggies.
Make ahead and store
Make ahead: You can make the juice ahead of time and keep it chilled until you’re ready to drink it. It’s great for prepping a few bottles for the week.
Store: Keep your carrot juice in a sealed jar in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to 5 days. Just give it a shake or stir before drinking.
Freeze: Freeze in ice cube trays for up to 3 months and thaw in the fridge.

Easy Carrot Juice Recipe
Equipment
Ingredients
- 8 carrots washed
- 2 oranges peeled
- 2 lemons peeled
- 1 inch piece of gingerroot
Instructions
- Wash all produce and peel citrus.
- Add a pitcher or container under juicer spout. With the motor running, place produce bit by bit into the feed chute of the juicer, using the food pusher to gently and slowly guide the produce down.
- Once juice has been made in your pitcher, you should end up with approximately 600-800 mL (20-27 fl oz) of juice concentrate. Because this is a concentrate, I usually add another 2 cups of water to the pitcher and then divide the pitcher among four glass bottles.
- Juice will keep up to 5 days in a sealed container in the fridge.
