The Girl on Bloor Inc. is hiring a part time, contract freelance content writer. While this role will remain a part time position for now, the opportunity will be there to add more hours/pay depending on the tasks you enjoy.
Here are the details…
Work Location: Remote, bonus if you’re based in the Greater Toronto Area for the occasional fun team building experience!
Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week; the work is task-based so we estimate it will take you that long, but you may be able to complete the work in a shorter period of time.
Compensation: $800 per month
Hours: You create your own 🙂 But you will have weekly deadlines that will be assigned at least 2-3 weeks in advance
Job starts: Immediately
COMPLETE LIST OF TASKS:
- Writing 4-6 new blog posts per month based on our format (approximately 400 words per post)
- Updating old blog posts
- Creating collages for new blog posts and on an as-needed basis for old posts
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A passion for social media, blogging and content marketing
- Knowledge of cooking as you will be writing about recipes, including storage, reheating and freezing instructions for different meals
- Strong writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently as this is a remote role
- Able to quickly adapt to and navigate different forms of technology and computer software with ease
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to meet weekly deadlines
