Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried lime zest or citric acid powder; optional
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp shelf stable parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp dried cilantro optional
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

For serving

  • Popcorn

Instructions

  • If using dried lime zest, zest from 1 lime and spread zest out on a paper towel, patting to dry with another clean paper towel. Allow to dry up to 24 hours at room temperature. You can use fresh lime zest as well in a pinch, or citric acid powder that you can order off Amazon.
  • Once lime zest is dried, mix ingredients together in a bowl or spice jar. If using shelf stable parmesan cheese, it will last up to 1 month in the pantry. Use on elote, popcorn, for marinades and more.
