- 1 loaf challah or brioche bread cubed
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1/4 cup cream
- 1/3 cup black tea
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- icing sugar
- maple syrup
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut bread into 1-2 inch cubes. Set aside.
Whisk eggs and milk together in a very large bowl until well mixed. Add melted butter, cream, tea, molasses, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, stirring well. Add in cubes of bread and toss until combined. Let sit for 5 min.
Grease an 9x13 oven safe dish and add bread to it. Bake in oven for 35 min, gently tossing halfway through.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with maple syrup. Enjoy!
