This page is where you'll find all of the meal prep bowls on my site! All of these meal prep recipes can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge between 3-5 days. They are perfect for getting organized and being prepared for a full set of lunches during busy work weeks. Tips for making meal prep bowls
Pick your method
Before you even do any cooking, choose how you're going to put together your meal prep bowls. There are many methods, a few examples being stir fry, skillet, pasta, soups & stews, one pot, sheet pan, Instant Pot, slow cooker and more. Narrow down the cooking method that comes easiest to you and allows you to batch cook easily so that meal prep doesn't feel like a chore each week. From there, all you have to do is divide the recipe you've made into meal prep bowls!
Pick your starch, protein & veggies
Another great way to start is by choosing your combo of protein, starch & vegetables. I typically follow a recipe that combines all three, but sometimes you may want to swap out one component for another. An example would be using rice or quinoa instead of pasta, or choosing to make a meal vegetarian so using a meatless protein like chickpeas or tofu. Once you have it all set, you can get cooking!
Mix & match ingredients
If you're really stuck, you can try prepping your ingredients ahead of time and making up meal prep bowls by mixing & matching ingredients and sauces. You can make a bunch of homemade sauces, for instance, and pair with different protein/vegetable combos so that you can ensure more variety during the week. Sometimes meal prep bowls can even be as simple as dinner leftovers that have been stored in individual containers for easy reheating.
